My niece Lindsay got a new pair of boot for Christmas. The file is too big to load into WordPress so here’s the link:
Fort Worth Nature Park
The Fort Worth Nature Preserve – I lived in Fort Worth for seven years and never visited the park. Nice place for a hike and it’s just outside of town. We didn’t see the buffaloes, but we saw a copperhead. Unusual for the beginning of January. Here is an infrared picture of the Lake Worth shoreline.
Silver Wings Gift Galleria
I wanted to thank everyone who stopped by my booth last Saturday – I met some very nice people and I enjoyed chatting with each of you. If you have any questions, please shoot me an email: CaptusLumen@yahoo.com
High Dynamic Range (HDR) Imaging
HDR Imaging software has been a lot fun for me. In the past I would take multiple images, each with a different exposure and then use the best one. Thanks to HDR software, I can now merge all of the different exposures into one photo, which is composed of the best parts of each image. Here is a shot from Curacao where I took two pictures of the same alley. Neither photo was much good so I ignored them. After I purchased Photomatix, I went back into my files and found multiple exposed scenes. Now I can create interesting shots from what were throwaway pictures.

There are coupons available for discounts on the software – a Google search will find them for you.
Eureka Springs, Arkansas
Eureka Springs, located in Northwest Arkansas just south of the Missouri border, is a cute little town to explore. Many of the buildings in the main town were built in the late 1800’s. Be sure to check out the Crescent Hotel at the top of the hill. You can park there and walk down into the town.
