I have been fascinated by photography for as long as I can remember. From my younger days of reading National Geographic to wondering through photo galleries and exhibits in various cities, it always amazes me how a picture can bring out emotions in the viewer, for better or for worse.
I started with film – both color and black and white – and made the jump to digital in 2003. Photography has always been my “artistic release” as I can’t draw, paint or play a musical instrument. My goal when taking a picture is to capture an image that people see everyday and have them see it in a whole new way. Whether I accomplish this is left up to the viewer.
In this site you’ll find photos that I have taken throughout the years in many different places: cities, national parks, farms, etc., and genres: landscape, macro, black and white and infrared. I like to try many different things – some of them work, some of them don’t. Not many things are more exciting than knowing that you took a great shot and confirming it when you finally see it on screen (or print).
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you enjoy what you see.
